FAQ

What about framing and caring for prints?

Giclée prints are high-quality, museum-standard, archival fine art prints that, with proper care, can last over 80 years without any significant fading.  All prints are sent unframed; it's recommended that you use professional framing service and request UV-protective glass or acrylic and acid-free materials to ensure that your print remains archival.

  • Handle prints with care;  avoid touching prints with bare hands.  The oils on your skin can damage the delicate surface.  Keep your print in its protective packaging until it is framed.
  • Avoid direct sunlight to prevent your print from fading.
  • Frame using UV-protective glass or UV-protective acrylic;  particularly if displaying the print in a bright room or under fluorescent lighting.
  • Use acid free matting (mount board) in frames.
  • It's not recommended that you hang prints in areas of very high humidity (e.g bathrooms).

What size prints are available?

Archival prints are offered at sizes that I think work best for the artwork;  some are as small as a postcard, the largest are A2.  I work to a variety of dimensions which makes each piece unique.

Larger prints (than the sizes listed) can sometimes be arranged as special orders - please get in touch.
